No experience necessary, this is a beginner class! Join us for our two-day Boot Camp where we cover all the same basics as our 6-week course in this two-day concentrated class. Pattern choice, glass cutting, layout, foiling, tool usage, soldering, framing and finish will all be covered. Class size limited to 8 people We will begin our class Friday at 5:30 pm and work until 8:30 pm. Saturday we will hit the ground running and begin at 10:30 am, plan to work all day until 5:30 pm with some quick breaks. You will choose from one of our pre-approved patterns (approx. 40 to pick from) Glass and pattern MUST be picked BEFORE class begins (allow minimum 1 hour). Tools and materials are not included in the tuition. Glass, tools, and supplies will run approximately $300-$400 and we have everything you’ll need available for purchase at the Studio. Save 10% when you place your tool order when registering. Discount is included in the final price. Please note that Open Toed Shoes are not allowed in the studio where class is held. We hope you enjoy this time together, meet new friends, and learn lots! We just have a couple of things to tell you about our class before you dive into the glass. This class will provide you with the fundamentals of stained glass using the copper foil method. Patience and practice are important parts of being a stained-glass artisan but never fear if you are lacking those requirements – they can be learned! Don’t be too hard on yourself as you are working on your first projects. You will be learning many new skills, and they won’t be mastered overnight, but there will be great improvements with each project that you make. We want to act as a resource to provide answers to your technical questions even after your project is finished. Advanced classes are available on a regular basis. Lead came; lamp shade, mosaics, fusing, and repair classes are some of those offered. For information on these classes, ask us to put you on Margie’s mailing list. We can then keep you current on educational offerings. All our classes are available online. You will find pictures and descriptions, and you can even register online! Two-hour parking is available on the street, or we have public parking garages only a half block away. There are no parking limits on Saturdays or the evenings.
